Some of the stats sound like they might be exaggerated (idk), but overall it's a spot on take of our consumerist lifestyle. Americans live to consume. They want it cheap, and they don't care much about the consequences.

To ALL the Brain Dead Sheep believing this B.S. For the record, only 3 percent of our U.S. taxes are used to fund our military. Do some research before you buy into this dribble. This site has NO CREDITABILITY. psychetruth is spelled wrong. The CORRECT spelling is psychebullshit!

Work, Watch, Buy- Is not my life cycle.

@kasper88881 You should chill. There are huge bendings of the truth in this. Everyone is fighting about it, but won't think. So there is no point in me joining the discussion when hostility is the only aim. Look, We don't spend too much time on the TV, just because this video said so.There is a lot going on right now, and a lot of this information is falsified. Such as the 4% of remaining forest. We farm trees for the use of paper, by the way.People, propaganda and fear comes in many shapes.

The final concept is based upon a dictatorship and communism...A controlled society where a very select, selfish, powerful few manipulate and guide the world into bare minimal survivability...Aka the Jesuits...Order out of chaos...They created this problem, so now they're aiming to fix it by enslaving us...

@ivanjrt SURE, YOU'D LOVE TO "PROTECT IT DIFFERENTLY", THAT IS IF YOUR DEFINITION OF "PROTECT" IS "EXPLOITATION OF NATURAL RESOURCES AND DESTRUCTION OF THE EARTH THROUGH THE MEANS OF ETHICAL INSTABILITY, DISREGARD FOR FELLOW HUMANITY AND INSATIABLE GREED FOR MATERIAL GOODS."
shakespearefreak1 (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
@ivanjrt AH, SO WE UNDERSTAND YOUR VIEW. "OH, NO NEED TO WORRY, LET'S JUST WAIT UNTIL WE'VE EXPLOITED ALL OUR RESOURCES, AND THEN LET'S CONSIDER RECYCLING, OR ALTERNATIVE ENERGY" etc. I PITY YOU. AND, YES, WHAT A "REMARKABLE" PLANET "IN DEED" (that's one word, by the way, and so is "trustworthy"), TO FOSTER SUCH IGNORANT, CARELESS BEINGS AS HUMANS.
shakespearefreak1 (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
@ivanjrt YES THE FREE MARKET WORKS, WE AREN'T QUESTIONING THAT. BUT DOES THAT MEAN THAT IT COULDN'T MAKE SOME IMPROVEMENTS? MORAL STANDARDS, SUSTAINABILITY, REGARD FOR THE IMPACTS OF PRODUCTION? (TO NAME A FEW AREAS OF CONCERN). AND PRIVATE PROPERTY IS THE KEY TO CONSERVATION? GET REAL, WAKE UP. WHEN LAND FALLS INTO THE OWNERSHIP OF PRIVATE ENTITIES, WHAT HAPPENS? IT GETS DEVELOPED. WHAT DOES THAT USE? NATURAL RESOURCES THAT WE CAN NO LONGER AFFORD TO EXPLOIT. SO MUCH FOR CONSERVATION.

@shakespearefreak1 it's called technological obsolescence. Products such as cars, planes, phones, cameras, computers, chairs, televisions, power plants, sinks, etc... are all subject to this planned obsolescence for it would not be profitable for manufacturers to build a product that will last more than a lifetime. With this corrupt system of profit there is no room for ethical ideologies. Why? It's not profitable to be ethical. This makes humanity's well being second to the profit system. Ciao |
